02-200 Campaign

Do You Own A Business In the Village of Los Ranchos?

Above is a sample CRS-1 for reporting Gross Receipts to the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department. A large chart with very small writing informs business owners about what to put in the blanks. In the municipality section, Albuquerque is listed first and many of us have not looked further down the list to find Los Ranchos de Albuquerque.

The Village of Los Ranchos is losing much needed tax revenue due to this oversight. We end up paying Albuquerque for services that The Village is providing for us....like fire and police protection.

The 02-200 Campaign is an educational effort to help retrieve our much needed revenue.

We need your help!

Please take a moment to check your CRS-1 and make sure that you have it filled in correctly. Also, if you do business in the Village (which we thank you for), please ask the business owner to make sure his gross receipts are going to the Village (02-200) as well.

Unsure about whether you qualify to be in the Village since your headquarters are located elsewhere?

Call the Tax and Revenue Department at (505)841-6200.

Unsure whether your business is located within the Village boundaries?
Call Planning & Zoning at 344-6582.

The new July 1, 2010, Tax Rate for the Village of Los Ranchos is 7.0625%.
It is important to note that the Village does not collect property taxes, which is more than offsetting.
