Things To Do
So much to do and so little time...

Day Trips -
History Tour, Route 66, Animal Spotting

Try a bicycle tour on Rio Grande looking for as many different animal species as you can find (hint: we have goats, llamas, horses, Canadian Geese in winter and many more). Another bicycle tour on our historic Guadalupe Trail could yield glimpses of historic landmarks, lineas, acequias and even more. Don't have a clue what some of these are? Read our History Section for tips.

Another great day trip would entail visits to our local wineries, Casa Rondeña Winery and Anderson Valley Vineyards as a starting point for a New Mexico winery tour. For information on all of New Mexico's wineries, check out Travel Envoy's Wine Guide.

Or enjoy a shopping/sightseeing tour on our stretch of the Historic Route 66. Fourth Street was not only Route 66 between 1926 and 1937 before its realignment to Central Avenue, but also was a part of El Camino Real, one of the oldest historic trails in the United States. It ran from Chihuahua, Mexico through El Paso to Santa Fe.

Or enjoy visiting the brand new Unser Racing Museum with lots of racing history of the Unser

family.
