Lavender in the Village is a joint effort between Los Poblanos Inn, Casa Rondeña Winery, the Growers' Market, and the Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque.  Please visit  the website at:  www.lavenderinthevillage.com for up-to-the-minute information on all the special activities!

LOCATIONS:  Village of Los Ranchos Park (Hartnett Park), Los Ranchos Growers' Market, Los Poblanos Inn and Lavender Fields, Casa Rondena Winery

ADMISSION:  Adults $3, Kids $2, Under 10 years old FREE.  Cash only.

FREE PARKING & SHUTTLING:  Los Ranchos Elementary, Taft Middle School, Alvarado Elementary, Anderson Winery

ACTIVITIES:  Everything lavender!  Cooking with Lavender, Bed & Bath Lavender Products, Fresh Lavender Bouquets & Plants, U-Pick Lavender, Lavender Beverages, Lavender Food Specialties: dairy products, herbs, pasta, butter, jams, ice cream, and much more!

SHOPPING AND OTHER ACTIVITIES:  Vineyard Tours and Wine Tasting (NM Wines); Live Music and Great Food; Children's Activities (Music, Storytelling, Crafts, and more); Arts and Crafts; Antiques & Collectibles; Book Signing; Growers' Market (Fres Produce, Flowers and Plants); Pet Parade; and Fun Run!

Friday, June 25:

Preview shopping, live auction, dinner and dance.  Music by Jimmy Stadler.  Auctioneer: Howard McCall.  Taste of the Valley includes: El Camino (Mexican); Luigi's (Italian); Johndhi's (BBQ); A Cake Odyssey (Dessert); Calico Cantina (Beer and Margaritas); Casa Rondena Winery (Wine).

SATURDAY & SUNDAY, JUNE 26 & 27: 8AM-4PM

Artists, Arts and Crafts, Jewelers,Antique & Collectibles, Home Décor; Books, Lavender products & lavender basket weaving demonstrations, Food Court,Children’s Activities, Liz Sanchez Stables, Beer and Wine, and much more.  Schedule subject to change.

On June 26 & 27, as part of the Lavender in the Village activities, the Growers‘ Market will have special, extended hours, on Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., and on Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

 

There will be fresh lavender bouquets, lavender plants and companion plants. 

Food specialties will include: South Mountain Dairy will have Herbs de Provence Chevre and Honey Lavender Chevre; Pasta Divina will have Herbs de Provence pasta, lavender butter, and Herbs de Provence cream sauce; Nancy Hobson will have Apricot-lavender and Strawberry-lavender jams; and Randy Schamlin will have pies dusted with lavender sugar, lavender-orange scones and lavender-honey ice cream.

 

The Market will present a series of short “Ask Our Expert” presentations every hour on the hour from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday in the Expert Tent adjacent to the handball courts. Our experts will then be available at their booths to answer questions throughout the festival. Look for the sign “Expert” on the special booths. Bring

questions to ask our experts who include chefs and food specialists, growers, landscape designers and horticulturists, certified herbalists, and makers of scents, soaps and lavender wands. Schedule may change; check info board on the day of the event.
