SUMMER MARKETS

will be held every Saturday starting on

May 3 through October 25 from 7-11 AM.

Located at 6718 Rio Grande Boulevard

(tennis court parking lot North of Chavez).

 

Saturday, July 5, 2008

7 am - 11 am  

ACCESS:  The market area can be accessed from north bound Rio Grande.  There is paved access to the Tennis Court parking area. 

If you are coming North bound on Rio Grande, turn right, or east into the barn parking area and walk across to the tennis parking area.

If you are coming from 4th St. turn west bound on Chavez, continue to Rio Grande, and turn north or right on to Rio Grande.

If you are coming South bound on Rio Grande, turn left (east) on El Pueblo, turn south on 4th St, turn west on Chavez to Rio Grande

 

Music by Squash Blossom Boys.  Garlic - many different varieties

 

Market tables may have:

Peas, summer squash

Spinach, chard, kale, variety of lettuces, parsley, sorrel, herbs, basil

beets, fennel, daikon radishes

garlic, onions,  tomatoes

Pasta Divina's fresh pasta

South Mtn goat cheese and other products

dried herbs including culinary lavender, culinary herbal mixes

Arts and Crafters will feature creative and unique gifts including:

Ornaments, pottery, bird houses, metal sculpture, knitted and crocheted sweaters and afghans, painted silk scarves, handmade soaps, wood crafts, oil and watercolor paintings, jewelry, cards, dolls, toys and more!

Free Shuttle Service from Village Hall to Los Poblanos Lavender Fields, Casa Rondena, Anderson Valley, and the park/ride lots at Taft Middle School, Alvarado & Los Ranchos Elementary Schools

Growers' and Arts/Crafts Markets (special hours for the festival)

Shuttle Service

Saturday: 7 am to 1 pm

Sunday: 8 am to 1 pm

Note: Due to the growing season, some fresh produce vendors may not have sufficient product to stay until 1 pm.  Some Arts/Crafts and other vendors may stay until 5 pm.

 

Growers' will feature fresh cut lavender, lavender and companion plants, lavender products,  lavender fruit drinks & pastries, lavender goat cheese, lavender pasta, and more!

 

Arts/Crafts vendors will feature lavender jars, jewelery, home decor, brooches, soaps, & toiletries, popourri, clothing, outdoor decorations & furniture, metal work, scarves, glass items, tiles, cards, crosses, pottery...

 

There will be music from 7 am to 1 pm by Dave Palsce and Rob Roman.

Los Ranchos Fire Dept. will have an open house (hrs. t.b.d.)

Lavender wand making demonstrations by Rhetta Herlan on Saturday.

Free handouts on lavender recipes, growing and using lavender, and coloring sheets

 

The Market will present a series of 20-30 minute classes on the Village Green
