Los Ranchos Growers' and
Arts/Crafts Holiday Markets
Tennis Court Parking Lot
6718 Rio Grande Blvd NW
Sat., February 13th, 10 a.m. - 12 noon
Girl Scout cookies will be available. Brownie Troop #59, with representative students from Los Ranchos, Alvarado, Alameda, Mountain Mahogany, and the North Valley Academy, will be on hand to sell you the famous cookies! Yum!
The market may also have lots of greens, hot-house tomatoes, goat cheese, bread, eggs, some root vegetables, dried fruit, honey, cold-weather bedding plants, dried flower arrangements, spring flower arrangements and arts & crafts.
March 13th is our annual Irish Celebration with music by the BlarneyStones, and Irish sampling by our guest chef, Randy Shamlian.
The last of the Winter Markets will be April 10th from 10 am to noon. April is a great time for tender spring greens and some veggie and flower bedding plants. Technically the average last frost date is April 15th, but the Village has had snow and cold weather as late as mid-May. Vegetable and flower bedding plants can be planted with season extenders (row-cover, water walls, etc.), or in a sheltered place such as a warm courtyard.
The regular season starts Sat. May 1st, 7 – 11 am.
Earn & Learn Program. Students in mid-school or high school that would like to earn some money this summer helping the Growers‘ Market with set-up and clean-up on Saturday mornings can call Cathy Lewandowski, 344-1023, for more information.
